Thankfully, TCM is amazing at preventing, treating and relieving you of allergy symptoms!

1. Herbs

Herbs are a great way to prevent allergies and also kick them out allergies when they hit us! Herbalogic's Easy Breather is a great over the counter herb tincture that promotes clear sinuses and soothes respiratory, nasal and eye irritation.

If you come in to see one of our acupuncturists for your allergies, we can also prescribe you Jade Windscreen Formula (Yu Ping Feng San). This ancient formula is amazing for cold, flu and allergy season. The idea is that this herb builds a solid screen around you to protect your body from the elements.

2. Acupuncture

Acupuncture is not only helpful for boosting your immune system to ward off harmful irritants. Acupuncture can also relieve allergy symptoms such as fatigue, congestion, watery and itchy eyes, post-nasal drip and headaches. Placing points on the lung channel can help clear the lung and ease breathing.

3. Facial Cupping

Facial Cupping is an amazing therapeutic and holistic way to rid yourself of allergy symptoms. It delivers serious lymphatic drainage to the face, which can provide instant relief to the congestion and tension that develops in the head and sinuses during allergy season.

4. Eucalyptus Shower

Eucalyptus is an amazing anti-inflammatory and is great at fighting congesting. Breathing Eucalyptus can relieve respiratory discomfort or pain. Dilute 20 or so drops of eucalyptus in a spray bottle with water. Spray the mixture generously while you're in the shower and experience a clearing, relaxing, spa-like shower experience!
